On April 12, in Vladivostok, a new project of the director of the film "The Ice" Oleg Trofim was launched.

A pilot series of a TV series under the working title "Horizon" is filming by order of TV3 channel. The whole action of the film takes place in Vladivostok and its environs. According to the plot of the film, an epidemic of an unknown virus, which in a few minutes kills any person, falls on the city. A small group of people manage to survive, taking refuge with soldiers under the command of Colonel GRU in a special bunker, where for three years scientists together with the military are trying to create a vaccine against the virus.

The main roles in the series are performed by Ilya Malanin, Irina Starshenbaum, Alexei Kravchenko and others. In episodic roles actors of the local theaters are involved.

The cinematographer is Denis Firstov, the winner of the prize "For the Best Cinematography" for the film "Collector" at the Kinotavr film festival, the art director - Arthur Mirzoyan, who worked on such films as "Vii 3D", "The Secret of the Seal of the Dragon: Journey to China ".

The Primorye Film commission carries out the filming in the territory of Primorye.

The number of films filmed in the Primorsky Region is growing every year. Over the past few years, such films as "The Bodyguard", director Sammo Hung, "The Tiger's Trail", director Alexei Kozlov, "Soul Mate", director Derek Tsang, "The baby cop", director Alexander Andryushchenko and others were shot here. Six film companies have already announced their intention to film in Primorye this year, including major Korean and Chinese studios.

Filming in the Primorsky Region increases its recognition abroad, increases the tourist appeal, attracts investment into the region. Filming movies - is an additional workplace and a real practice for local professionals in the field of cinema, as well as the development of the local film production.
