The 22nd Hong Kong International Film & TV Market - FILMART 2018 - the largest international film and television market in the Asian region took place in Hong Kong on March 19-23. More than 850 companies-distributors, film companies and film commissions from all over the world took part in it. The 22nd film market in Hong Kong was attended by more than 8,000 people.

The Primorye Film Commission was represented as regular member in the AFCNet pavilion - the Asian Film Commission Network. The Primorye Film Commission presented opportunities for filming in Primorye, unique locations and incentives for filmmakers. The accent was made on the film companies of China, South Korea and Japan. Great interest in filming in Primorye showed Indian film companies.

During the film market, meetings were held with representatives of major Asian film companies interested in filming in Primorsky Region.

Asian cinematographers are very interested in Primorye. Vladivostok is a European city in Asia, attracts several Asian projects every year, the filming potential of the city is increasing every year. Filming of foreign film companies contribute to the increase of the tourist potential of the region, the development of the local film industry in the region, the promotion of Vladivostok and Primorye at the international level.

The Primorye Film Commission encourages the involvement of international film crews, fully ensuring the filming process on the territory of the region. The practice of the film commissions in the regions is widespread throughout the world. For foreign producers, the film commission is the guarantor that shooting in the region will be successful.

Since early 2018, the Primorye Film Commission has been working on four projects of Asian film companies (Korea, China). In April Vladivostok will host the shooting of the TV3 project, directed by Oleg Trofim. Several documentaries are working on.

The Primorye Film Commission is the first state film commission in Russia, established in 2016. In Primorsky Region there is a system of subsidies for cinematography organizations to recover part of the costs incurred in the region (rebate 15%).
