The Primorye Film Commission takes part in the Asian Film Market 2020 (ACFM)

Asian Contents & Film market 2020 (Busan, South Korea) - one of the largest film markets in the Asia-Pacific region this year is holding online on October 26-28. The Primorye Film Commission will present at the film market unique Primorye locations, stimulating support measures, the organizational capabilities of the film commission, a federal rebate for foreign film companies and films from Primorsky directors.

This year more than 190 companies from 22 countries take part in the film market. The Primorye Film Commission is the only company representing Russia.

Primorsky region is the leader among the regions of Russia in terms of the number of filming of Asian film projects due to its geographic location and economic conditions. There are direct flights from Vladivostok to the main capitals of the Asian states. Here you can shoot Europe 60% cheaper than in Europe itself. Today, several large Asian projects are being prepared, the filming of which was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Primorye Film Commission creates comfortable conditions for filming foreign and Russian film crews in the region. Groups planning to shoot in the region are provided with bases of locations, personnel, equipment, transport, actors and extras. On request a budget calculation is made, castings are held. The film commission fully provides the process of organizing and conducting filming in Primorye.

In the Primorsky Region there are programs to support film crews (incentives). The new Location scouting incentive program is designed to provide groups planning filming in Primorye with the opportunity of effectively locations scouting. The program includes flight, accommodation, transfers, support of a location manager and an interpreter for foreign groups. There are already applications from South Korean companies to participate in the program in 2021. The partnership program of the Primorrye Film Commission provides film groups with discounts of up to 50% in partner hotels, catering, transport and service companies in the region.

Also in the on-line booth of the Film Commission will be presented the Federal rebate (30-40% cash rebate) which was launched in Russia in 2019. Foreign film companies and producers will be able to familiarize themselves with the conditions for obtaining a rebate and get the necessary advice from the staff of the Film Commission.

For the first time this year the Primorye Film Commission will present films of local directors in the format of on-line Screenings at the film market.

Also, foreign partners will be presented with a new resource that brings together information of the possibilities of filmmaking in Russia www.filminrussia.info. The web-site will provide information of all Film Commissions in Russia, available locations throughout the country and support programs on the combined map.

The Primorye Film Commission is a permanent member of the Asian Film Commission Network (AFCNet) since 2017, and since 2018 has been a member of the Association's Board of Directors.
