For the first time in history, Russia won the right to host the Cineposium of the Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI). ACFI is an official professional organization that includes more than 300 film commissions in 45 countries on 6 continents. The 43rd Cineposium will be held in St. Petersburg from September 13 to 16, 2019.

The Cineposium is an annual global professional forum for a comprehensive discussion of the development of creative industries, the production of film content, the activities of film commissions, the development of film tourism, as well as new forms of interaction with the audience.

One of the main tasks of the Cineposium 2019 is to provide foreign specialists with the possibility of filming in Russia. Within the framework of the Cineposium, a presentation of several regions of our country that are most successful in terms of organizing film production on their territory will be held.

Dmitry Shevtsov, director of the Primorye Film Commission: “Primorsky Region is a leader among the Russian regions in the number of filming of Asian film projects. Every year in the region 2-3 feature films are shot, as well as 5-6 documentaries. Film crews from Japan, South Korea and China work more often than others on the territory of Primorye. At the Cineposium, the Primorye Film Commission will present to the foreign colleagues the unique locations of the region, as well as the advantages of filming in the Primorsky Region. ”

In previous years, representatives of Netflix, Sony Pictures, Walt Disney, HBO, Warner Brothers, Paramount, Amazon, Marvel, CBS and more than 50 other world leaders became speakers and participants at the Cineposium. This year, the Cineposium will be held for the first time in partnership with the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the Union of International Tourism Information Organizations (SONATO).
