Кинокомиссия Приморского края приняла участие в крупнейшем Азиатском кинорынке в Гонконге FILMART2019

This year the film market attracted even more visitors than in previous years. About 9000 representatives of the Asian film industry visited FILMART, where more than 800 companies from 35 countries were represented.

The Primorye Film Commission presented the possibilities of filming in Primorye in the pavilion of the AFCNet (Asian Film Commissions Network). Meetings were held with directors and producers from Malaysia, India, the Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong and China. Several Chinese film companies expressed willingness to create projects in co-production with Russian partners in the Primorsky Region.

Within the framework of the Film Market, the Primorye Film Commission made an agreement with one of the largest Hong Kong television channels. It is planned that this year the channel will begin shooting the television series in Primorye. The director and producer of the project will come for location scouting to Vladivostok in May.

As part of the film market, the Board of Directors of the AFCNet, which the Primorye Film Commission joined last year, was held. The council actively discussed the creation of effective tools for the development of co-production between the countries belonging to the network. AFCNet currently includes 58 film commissions and film companies from 19 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Participation in international film markets contributes to the international advancement of the opportunities of the Primorsky Region, as well as attracting foreign film crews to the region, which in turn has a positive effect on the development of the region as an attractive tourist destination.
